Books in My Spring "Translation & World Literature" Class


Every year, in addition to the two "core" books--David Bellos's and Adam Thirlwell's--I choose 6-8 translations from the past year and make my students debate which one is the "best" and what they mean by "best." The semester usually ends in long series of arguments, which is why this is the "best" class ever.
